How ReadyQueue works for your office manager.
ReadyQueue learns how your practice operates, remembers what needs to happen, and helps keep work moving without making your office manager chase everything.
Built for ophthalmology, optometry/optical, ophthalmic surgery/ASC, LASIK/refractive, and multi-location eye-care organizations.
ReadyQueue understands the operation—not just the records.
ReadyQueue understands your locations, people, responsibilities, routines, equipment, vendors, commitments, and deadlines. It remembers what should not depend on one employee’s memory, watches for meaningful changes, helps coordinate supported follow-through, and shows managers where their attention is needed. Your existing clinical and business systems remain in place.
1. ReadyQueue learns how your practice operates
- Locations, departments, hours, and daily routines
- Staff roles, assignments, and backup coverage
- Operating procedures and recurring responsibilities
- Equipment, rooms, supplies, and available resources
- Vendors, service relationships, and commitments
- Deadlines, approvals, and escalation expectations
- Changes in staffing, schedules, and circumstances
- What normal operations look like at each location
2. ReadyQueue preserves operational memory
- Who owns the work and who provides backup
- What was requested, promised, assigned, or delegated
- What is finished and what remains unresolved
- Next actions, deadlines, and follow-up expectations
- Prior decisions, instructions, and operating procedures
- Equipment issues, service commitments, and vendor history
- Staffing changes and location resource availability
- What happened before and how it was resolved
3. ReadyQueue recognizes what needs attention
As the day changes, ReadyQueue looks for work without an owner, missed follow-through, deadlines approaching, equipment interruptions, staffing gaps, and differences from normal operations. It distinguishes routine work that can continue from exceptions that need a decision. The operating picture reflects the information actually available and its verification state.
4. ReadyQueue helps keep follow-through moving
For workflows enabled by the practice, ReadyQueue can route work, notify the responsible person, track acknowledgments, prepare requests, follow response windows, and escalate unresolved matters to the appropriate backup or manager. Permissions, channel availability, and review rules determine which actions can proceed and which need approval. The office manager should not have to serve as the practice’s reminder system.
5. ReadyQueue answers the manager’s questions
Ask by voice or text what needs attention, who is covering an absent employee, whether a vendor confirmed service, what happened the last time a problem occurred, or what can safely carry overnight. ReadyQueue uses authorized operational records and history, preserves the subject of follow-up questions, and shows uncertainty when information is missing or stale.
Do we need every system connected before starting?
No. You can start with staff, locations, responsibilities, tasks, imports, secure uploads, and approved communication or capture workflows. Certified APIs and connectors can then reduce manual intake and evidence gathering. ReadyQueue identifies where each item came from, when it was verified, and which facts still need human confirmation.
How do APIs and existing eye-care systems connect?
ReadyQueue is designed to work beside products such as Nextech, Compulink, RevolutionEHR, Eyefinity, ZEISS, and other clinical or business systems where authorized connectivity is available. Depending on the product and permissions, integration may use APIs, FHIR/HL7, approved exports, imports, or secure document exchange. During evaluation, Emedopt identifies the exact source, supported data, update frequency, access boundaries, and whether a connector is certified. Listing a vendor does not mean its connector is already available.
What if our locations use different systems?
Each location can keep its existing systems. ReadyQueue associates authorized operational evidence with the correct practice, location, team, owner, and deadline, so leadership can see what needs attention across sites. Available coverage varies by each location’s certified connection or approved intake method; unavailable data is not treated as current.
What happens when a connected system goes down?
Your source system can go down. Your operational responsibilities do not disappear.
ReadyQueue preserves its authorized last-known operational memory and clearly marks source condition instead of treating an outage as “zero problems.” Work that can safely continue may enter manual continuity. Work that depends on unavailable source truth remains explicitly unverified. When the source returns, ReadyQueue reconciles outage-period activity before the source is treated as recovered.
Can referral work continue during a source outage?
ReadyQueue referral continuity can preserve approved referral work and controlled organization-to-organization communication when a normal source or partner workflow is unavailable. Authorized outside parties may acknowledge a request, provide approved missing information/documents, communicate securely, and preserve a next-action expectation without receiving general access to the practice’s ReadyQueue environment.
Can ReadyQueue contact people and coordinate the next action?
Where configured, approved, and certified for the organization, ReadyQueue communication can use supported channels such as internal messages, secure email, SMS/text, secure fax, outbound voice, and secure links. Channel availability is provider- and implementation-specific; ReadyQueue does not represent a channel as operational until that path is configured and certified. The practice controls recipient eligibility, routing, quiet hours, escalation windows, channel policy, and applicable review requirements.

Ask ReadyQueue by voice or text—and follow through.
Search, Command, and Voice draw on the same authorized operational services. Ask what is overdue, who owns an item, what changed at a location, whether equipment has a service history, or what needs attention before close. Follow-up questions retain the active subject. Supported actions use the same permissions, confirmations, and audit trail whether requested by voice or text.
Voice and Command are built for real operational work
- Ask across referrals, readiness, authorizations, follow-up, equipment, vendors, locations, responsibilities, source condition, and other authorized operational records
- Carry the active subject into a follow-up question so a manager can continue the conversation instead of starting over
- Find specific records, owners, blockers, deadlines, missing information, prior actions, and operational history
- Surface exceptions such as unowned work, overdue follow-up, deadline pressure, source degradation, equipment interruption, or work at risk
- Use Voice or typed Command through the same permission-aware operational services
- Prepare supported actions and require preview or confirmation when the action is consequential
- Preserve the command, resulting action, evidence, and audit history according to the workflow
- Respect practice, location, role, and user authorization boundaries
Can ReadyQueue take action when I speak?
For approved workflows, Voice can submit the same controlled Command path used by typed requests. Consequential changes require the appropriate permission, preview/confirmation, and audit. Voice never receives extra authority simply because a command was spoken.
What happens to sticky notes, photos, and quick operational reminders?
ReadyQueue Capture can extract candidate operational information from a photo or handwritten note and propose structured work such as related workflow, missing information, owner, next action, or deadline. Uncertain identity or consequential state does not become authoritative simply because extraction was fast. Review is required where the workflow or uncertainty demands it.
Who makes important decisions—ReadyQueue or my staff?
Your authorized people remain in control. ReadyQueue can search, summarize, flag, prioritize, recommend, draft, classify, and route. Consequential, sensitive, regulated, uncertain, or approval-dependent outcomes follow the organization’s permission and human-review policy. Optional Emedopt Managed Operations is separately scoped and is not automatically involved in every ReadyQueue action.
What if employees do not update every item?
ReadyQueue is designed to reduce—not recreate—the burden of manual status maintenance. When ReadyQueue itself sends a communication, receives provider delivery evidence, imports a source event, or records an acknowledgment, that evidence can update operational history without another manual entry. Staff input remains necessary for facts no connected system can observe. When evidence conflicts, ReadyQueue should preserve the conflict and verification state rather than silently turn it green.
How does ReadyQueue change by role?
| Role | Primary ReadyQueue question |
|---|---|
| Office manager / practice manager | What needs attention here? Who owns it? Can I leave? |
| Administrator / regional operations | Which location or process needs intervention? Where is responsibility weak? |
| Executive / multi-location leadership | Where is operational risk building? Which locations or systems need attention? |
What does “Can I leave?” really mean?
It is not a literal permission button. It is the management acceptance test: can an authorized manager quickly see what is safe to carry overnight, what needs attention before close, what is already owned, what has no owner, and which sources are stale/degraded/unavailable—then drill into owner, backup, next action, deadline, escalation, and evidence.
How ReadyQueue receives updates and keeps the details connected
The following are supporting capabilities—not the starting point of the product. ReadyQueue works beside your EHR, practice-management, imaging, payer, communication, and equipment systems rather than replacing them. Approved connections and intake methods supply evidence; ReadyQueue relates that evidence to ownership, next actions, history, and source condition. Availability depends on what is authorized, configured, and certified for each organization.

What does ReadyQueue need to work well?
| Question | ReadyQueue answer |
|---|---|
| Is this another system? | Yes. It must earn its place by reducing the number of systems and people a manager has to search for an operational answer. |
| Does integration matter? | Yes. Certified integrations reduce manual work, but ReadyQueue is not useless without a deep EHR integration. |
| Does staff participation matter? | Yes, for events no authorized source can observe. Voice, capture, imports, communication evidence, and escalation are designed to reduce that burden. |
| Can every answer always be treated as current? | No. ReadyQueue shows source state and verification status so stale or uncertain information is not presented as verified current truth. |
| Will staff trust it immediately? | Trust is earned during the Guided Evaluation by comparing ReadyQueue’s operating picture against actual workflows and evidence. |
